Dam Construction, Daingerfield State Park, 1935-1938

The National Park Service engineers designed this earthen dam that Company 2891 enrollees built. At this point the CCC work crew is doing hand grading and positioning some of the more than 4,000 square yards of local iron-ore stone rip-rap that will armor and protect the upstream from wave-induced erosion.
