Stone Cabin, Palo Duro Canyon State Park, c. 2005
State park plans for developing the floor of Palo Duro Canyon included a number of "housekeeping cabins;" but only four were built, and those were later abandoned. In recent years, TPWD has restored them. Staying there allows occupants beautiful views inside the canyon; they are called the "Cow Camp" cabins.
