Aerial View of the CCC camp, Mother Neff State Park, 1935
Taken during a Mother's Day celebration open to the public, this aerial shot provides details of the CCC Camp, including the headquarters building at the center, with twenty barracks on either side of the green, and exercise and baseball fields just beyond the barracks at the top of the picture. The long building is likely the mess hall. For this photograph, uniformed band members stood in readiness around the Lone Star motif and the camp enrollees arrayed themselves in a wide V-shaped formation facing the flagpole.
