Stone Bridge, Lake Corpus Christi State Park, c. 1935
This triple arch bridge was constructed of limestone laid in an irregular pattern, over cast caliche crete block arches. Resembling the caliche, blocks of concrete form the plinths to support the caliche block arches and protect them from direct exposure to moisture. Later construction of a higher dam in the 1950s left both the road and the bridge under water.
