Boat House, Lake Corpus Christi State Park, c. 1935

Another of this park's signature caliche crete cast stone buildings is this boat house overlooking the lake with a simple wooden dock that rests below. Stylistically, the design is strikingly similar to many of the CCC-built bath houses found in other Texas parks: a central pavilion dominated by massive arches at the front and rear, and wooden-frame wings at either end used for storage.
