Retaining Wall and Stair, Lake Brownwood State Park, c. 1937
To implement architect Paul E. Pressler's design for the retaining wall and stair, the men in Company 849 needed 350 tons of local limestone. This ambitious project resulted in one of the signature CCC structures in this extensively developed park.
