Lamar Peninsula Campsite, Goose Island State Park, c. 2000
The area located on the eastern tip of Lamar Peninsula at Goose Island State Park is forested with groves of large oak trees and open grassland. This particular campsite is on the edge of one of the clusters of oak trees that often serve as effective wind breaks.
