In a scene that perfectly portrayed President Franklin D. Roosevelt's intentions for the CCC and the New Deal, tables are set for a generous Thanksgiving meal in the barracks-turned-mess-hall at Lampasas State Park (now on private land), just as the program and building Texas state parks entered their second six-month period.
