FDR Visits Texas, Parks, and the Centennial Celebration, 1936
President Franklin D. Roosevelt visited Texas on a special train in June 1936, stopping at the San Jacinto Battleground, the Alamo in San Antonio, and the Dallas State Fairgrounds. In Austin on June 11, he addressed a huge crowd. First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt stands at his right.
