Training Photograph, Cleburne State Park, c. 1938

Cleburne had an active training program that became the source of many photographs contrasting correct and incorrect ways of using tools. Sitting in the maintenance yard an overall-clad enrollee demonstrates the correct use of a pipe wrench, as well as the importance of choosing a tool that is appropriately sized for the job. (The band-aid on his index finger suggests that minor accidents can happen despite attention to safety and training.)
