Dam Spillway, Cleburne State Park, January 29, 1940
The recommendation of landscape architect Rufus A. Hirsch, serving as Senior Foreman and Acting Superintendent, specified this plan for the building of the dam spillway. The sheet includes elaborately detailed sections showing the drops in flow elevation and the stone masonry rip-rap used to armor the walls and sides of this stair-stepped weir controlled spillway. The date of the plan suggests that the spillway was one of the last major construction projects at the park.
