Log Cabin, Caddo Lake State Park, 2008
Originally constructed for the U.S. Army, some of the CCC barracks became guest cabins courtesy of Company 857 enrollees who added exterior log veneer and fireplaces with exposed chimneys (far cabin). Note the differences in the corner treatment between the two cabins: the far cabin has corner trim indicating log veneer walls, whereas the closer cabin has the notched corners of a traditional log cabin.
