Entry Road Construction, Bastrop State Park, c. 1934
While Bastrop State Park's scenery was primarily identified with stands of "lost pines," the entry road first introduced visitors to the hardwood and juniper savannah. The photograph shows that much of that roadwork was accomplished with hand tools.
