Water Tower Construction, Bastrop State Park, c. 1936
With wooden forms in place, this concrete water tower is under construction. Plans indicate that the structure was to do double duty as a stone-clad lookout tower that would be reached by a stone stairway spiraling along the outside of the tower. The water tower was completed, but without a lookout tower.
